Welcome, author! We’re so glad you’re here. Zora’s Place is Evanston’s first Black feminist bookstore—a space where Black stories are centered, celebrated, and shared. We intentionally curate our shelves to feature books by Black women and nonbinary authors, with special priority for local voices in Evanston and the Chicagoland area.

Please review our Author Submission Guidelines before filling out this form. We only accept self-published books from Black women and nonbinary authors local to Evanston/Chicagoland, and we do not accept works created with AI-generated text or art, or titles published exclusively through Amazon.

Completing this form does not guarantee that we will carry your book. We review submissions quarterly and will contact you if your book is a good fit for our store.
